Two people on a motorcycle were hurt after their bike was struck by a car.

The collision happened around 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, near the intersection of Union Road and Wayne Street, in Cass County’s Mason Township.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office a 31-year-old Niles woman was traveling northbound on Union Road and turned left into a residence, but didn’t clear the road in time and collided with a motorcycle, which was traveling southbound. The man and the woman who was traveling on the motorcycle were taken to Elkhart General Hospital by ambulance.

A seatbelt was worn during this crash, and helmets were not worn. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
