A man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the death of a 3-month-old baby last summer.

Darren Corbett of North Liberty received the sentence in the death of the infant, Wrensley Swihart, who was killed last July in Fulton County. He faced several charges in the case, and was found guilty of aggravated battery and neglect of a dependent resulting in death.

He was found not guilty of a murder charge.

Corbett was the last person to see the baby alive, and tested positive for drugs. The autopsy stated the baby died of blunt force trauma.
