Senator Mike Braun has announced that he will be voting “no” to a short-term spending bill.
On Wednesday, Sep. 27, the Senator announced he will say no to spending cuts or the Senate Continuing Resolution, and pointed out that the bill is asking for $6.1 billion for Ukraine and zero dollars for the southern border.
Braun called the short-term spending bill the latest example of D.C. kicking the can down the road and spending money the government doesn’t have, all while American continue to pay for it at the grocery store and the gas pump.
The budget deadline to stop the shutdown is 11:59 p.m. on Saturday.

At this point, the government does more harm than good. Shut it down.
Much like the writer’s strike, 99% of the people will never even notice.
The establishment (R + D) plays this game every year. They have plenty of time to pass the required funding bills Note that is BILLS plural. I think its 13 of them. But the game is played so a Continuing Resolution can be had to keep the spending Bullet Train running along. Meanwhile the rest of us lose our assets through inflation because of the spending. And find we can no longer sustain the lifestyle we spent a lifetime earning because of that inflation. Thanks to Senator Braun for at least recognizing the game is a rotten way to fulfill the oath they all took upon entering office. Long Live The Republic! Go look it up. This country is REPUBLIC not a democracy. The founders studied all forms of government and found a democracy always descends into what they called a “MOBOCRACY.” JUST LOOK AT THE RECENT NEWS about the stores that are being routinely looted. OR the BLM riots of a couple of years ago. The MOB is alive and well and being helped by our government at every level by refusing to enforce the law on the books.
Too bad we will be losing Mike Braun as a Senator. However, we may be seeing him in the Indiana Governor’s Office.
