Speed appears to be a factor in a crash that injured a Cassopolis woman.

The collision happened just before 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, on M-60 near Wood Lake Road in Newberg Township.

The investigation shows the 25-year-old woman was traveling eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle, causing her to run off the road, hit an embankment and overturn.

Crews from the Newberg Fire Department had to extricate the woman from her vehicle.

She was taken to Three Rivers Health Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
