The findings of a recent study show that smokers in Indiana could save up to 31% on their total Christmas expenditure if they quit smoking in November.
According to the research, the average American spends $875 on Christmas gifts, decorations, and food, while a typical Indiana smoker spends $39 per week on cigarettes.
By quitting at the start of the month, smokers in Indiana could save an extra $274 towards their holiday budget. On the other hand, if they wait until the end of November to quit, they would only save $118 due to the reduced number of weeks left until the holiday season.
The research was conducted by Yocan Vaporizer, which took into account the average cost of a pack of cigarettes in each state and the typical daily intake of smokers.
