There are now two arrests in the case of a 12-year-old South Bend boy’s murder.

12-year-old Josiah Small was shot and killed and a 14-year-old was shot, but survived, near Indiana and Prairie Avenue. Prosecutors report that Small, along with an injured kid and two others, had a conflict with two guys in a car.

The guys got out of the vehicle, shot Small and the other child, and two others emerged unharmed.

The South Bend Police, alerted by ShotSpotter, found the 12-year-old shot at the scene, where he was declared dead.

Nagomba White Jr., 21, was arrested and charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Attempted Murder, and Attempted Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon.
