An 80-year-old woman suffered facial injuries after crashing into a home.

The collision happened around 10:20 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 18, in the area of County Road 11 and County Road 142.

Police say that County Road 11 was closed north of the intersection and the woman tried to stop, but was traveling too fast for the snow-covered road, slid off the pavement and struck a home.

She was citied for driving too fast for weather conditions.
