Gov. Whitmer sets date for State of the State address

Michigan’s Governor has announced the date for her sixth State of the state Address.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer says she’s planning the speech for Wednesday, January 24 at 7 p.m.

The address will be held in the Michigan House Chambers in front of a joint session of the state’s House and Senate and carried live around the state.

Whitmer, in her second term, will lay out her legislative priorities for the coming year, including her strategies to lower costs, invest in education, and more. It will be the second time she’s made the address since the Democratic Party won full control of the state Legislature.

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb will deliver his State Of The State address on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. You can hear the address on 95.3 MNC.
