USPS is set to conduct a passport fair for those looking to travel in the near future.

On February 6 and 7, the Postal Service will hold passport hours at the Purdue University Northwest Library Building in Hammond from 11 until 1 each day.

To apply for a passport for the first time, applicants will need proof of U.S. citizenship in the form of a certified copy of their birth certificate or a certificate of citizenship.

They will also need a valid form of front and back photo identification and must submit a photocopy of identification such as a current driver’s license, government ID or military photo ID. Payments will be accepted in cash or check form.

Customers can learn more about passport application costs and save time by downloading forms at www.usps.com/passport or by using the code.
