Poppy the groundhog gave her forecast Friday morning at the Potawatomi Zoo. Poppy did not see a shadow, signaling the coming of an early spring this year.

Poppy was making only her second performance, marking the continuation of the new tradition at South Bend’s Potawatomi Zoo.

The groundhog is a rescue who first came to The Potawatomi Zoo about two years ago.
