Bill to implement bobcat hunting season in Indiana continues to advance

(Photo supplied/Indiana DNR)
A bill to force the Indiana Department of Natural Resources to establish and implement a bobcat hunting season by July 2025 continues to advance.
The state Senate passed the bill by a 40-9 vote and the House Committee on Natural Resources passed it yesterday 11-1.
Critics are questioning if the bobcat population has recovered enough to be hunted after being on the endangered species list until 2025.
The full House vote is up next.
