Arrest warrants issued for several Goshen School Board members

Several Goshen School Board members face arrest warrants for failing to disclose donor names in a 2022 fundraiser.

Former Mayor Allan Kauffman, Jose Elizalde, Mario Garber, Roger Nafziger, and Andrea Johnson are implicated.

The Goshen News reports the charges include filing a fraudulent report and misdemeanors for accepting contributions in others’ names.

The report states that Sue Neeb, a retired teacher, raised funds for the candidates, listing Kauffman as the donor on forms, which was later revealed as inaccurate.

The contributions were used to help pay for a mailer against three other candidates. According to the Elkhart County Election Board, more than 40 people were fined for campaign violations last April.
