7-Eleven clerk hit in face by candy during robbery

A clerk at a 7-Eleven store in Elkhart was hit in the face by some bags of candy during a robbery.
The heist happened at the convenience store, just before 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, in the 2700 block of South Main Street.
The clerk told police that two men entered the store. One of them allegedly grabbed Visa preloaded gift cards and jumped behind the register. The clerk struggled with one of the suspects before they allegedly threw bags of candy at the her. Then stole some candy, and took off.
