A concerned citizen found a tote full of puppies along the road in South Bend on Monday morning, April 22, and brought them to the South Bend Police Department for help. This, as the South Bend Animal Resource Center is dealing with a parvo quarantine. Former officer and current Crime Lab Technician Ron Kaszas volunteered to foster all six puppies until the quarantine is lifted.

SBARC employees stopped by our department to check out the pups and administer de-wormer. The pups are estimated to only be about four weeks old.

Once the pups can be safely processed into SBARC, they will be available for adoption once they get a little older.
