In Tuesday’s voting, the Brandywine Community Schools District voted to approve a 22 million bond issue proposal.

The residents of Berrien and Cass Counties who voted on the millage approved it by 67 percent. The bond issue will not raise taxes but will instead extend the current debt millage a further 18 years. It will provide for a new performing arts center and career technical education program. The work will be done in stages and should be finished by the summer of 2027.
