A northwest Indiana school community is mourning the loss of Brandy Manville, a beloved secretary at Portage High School, who died in a murder-suicide on Friday evening.
Her husband, Charles Manville, shot Brandy at their Portage home.
Their 21-year-old daughter, Hayleigh, also suffered gunshot wounds and remained hospitalized. Hayleigh called 911 that evening to report that her father was drunk and armed.
First responders heard multiple gunshots as they arrived, and Brandy was pronounced dead at the scene.
