Investigators don’t believe a Dowagiac vehicle fire was an accident.

A total of three vehicles were vandalized at Hartman Auto Service on Thursday, with two having slashed tires and a third vehicle being set on fire.

Business owner Thomas Hartman was out of the state spending the holiday with his son at the time of the incident.

According to WNDU, Hartman said the vehicle destroyed by the fire was going to be scrapped, but one of the two vehicles with tire damage belonged to him.
