A man accused of auto theft had his trial scheduled for May.

Reports say Goshen police tried to stop a Honda Civic in Debruary of 2022 for not having headlights on, but the vehicle fled before crashing on Eisenhower Drive North.

The Goshen News says the vehicle was reported stolen and the suspect, Tony Yowell, allegedly fled from previous officers.

Goshen police received a report of another vehicle theft the same day, and DNA samples from Yowell were reportedly found in the vehicle after it was picked up in Wabash.

Yowell’s jury trial is scheduled for May 5.
