The South Bend Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at Western and Walnut .

The collision happened around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11.

Multiple injuries were reported.

Once police were on scene, the St. Joseph County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team was called in to lead the investigation.

The intersection was closed for several hours.
