A South Bend man has been arrested and charged after allegedly posting a threatening video on Snapchat, prompting an FBI investigation.
Authorities say that on February 19, 2025, at approximately 6:24 p.m., the FBI National Threat Operations Center received an online tip regarding a Snapchat user who posted a video of a firearm with the text overlay, “Time to go visit ur local school.” Geolocation data indicated the post originated in St. Joseph County, Indiana, leading local law enforcement and the FBI to launch an investigation.
Investigators identified the suspect as Stephen Arthur Ullery Jr. and, on February 20, 2025, executed search warrants at a residence in the 60250 block of Myrtle Road in South Bend. Officers from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI Task Force located Ullery at the home, where they also recovered multiple firearms, including one consistent with the weapon displayed in the Snapchat video. Ullery was taken into custody and transported to the St. Joseph County Jail.
Following the investigation, the St. Joseph County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Ullery on February 21, 2025, with three counts of intimidation:
Count I: Intimidation, a Class A Misdemeanor
Count II: Intimidation, a Level 5 Felony
Count III: Intimidation, a Level 5 Felony
If convicted, Ullery faces up to six years in prison for each Level 5 felony charge, along with fines of up to $10,000 per count. The Class A misdemeanor carries a potential sentence of one year in jail and a fine of up to $5,000.
Authorities have not disclosed whether Ullery had a specific target in mind. The investigation remains ongoing.
