South Bend man sentenced for crime spree

One of two men accused of a crime spree has been sentenced.

54-year-old Steven Martin of South Bend is one of the two men accused of robbing the Ulta and Meijer in Goshen in 2021.

Reports say the men stole a total of around $2,500 worth of product from the stores and pepper sprayed employees who tried to stop them.

The Goshen News says Martin was sentenced for Robbery last week to five years at the Indiana Department of Corrections with one year suspended on probation and for Armed Robbery to 14 years at the Indiana Department of Corrections with five years suspended on reporting probation.
