Prescription Drug Take Back Day numbers are in!

With the support of the community, the St. Joseph County Police Department was able to collect 3,000 pounds of unused medications for the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Over the years since 2016, a total of more than 57,000 pounds of medications have been collected through the events, plus an additional 31,396 pounds collected through local drop boxes.

Those who were unable to make it to the event can drop off any unused prescription drugs in a drop box in the jail lobby year-round.
