A Michigan City man has been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of a man outside Matey’s Bar early.

Police responded to reports of gunfire early Sunday morning and found 25-year-old Dante Sellers of LaPorte with a gunshot wound across the street from the bar. He died at the hospital.

Investigators say Sellers had been in an argument inside the bar and was shot while walking to his car.

Now, 27-year-old Cevin Crawford has been arrested and charged with felony murder and is being held without bond at the LaPorte County Jail.

Crawford’s initial court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 7.
