A 19-year-old man was hospitalized following a motor scooter crash in Cass County.

According to Sheriff Clint Roach, deputies were called to the intersection of Tharp Lake Road and State Line Road around 12:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22. When they arrived, they found the rider lying in the roadway with a head injury.

The man was transported by ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately released.

The Porter Fire Department and SEPSA EMS assisted deputies at the scene.
