First American Airlines Landline motorcoach departs SBN

The first American Airlines Landline motorcoach has officially departed South Bend International Airport, marking the start of a new era in regional travel to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
The inaugural departure left on Monday afternoon, Oct. 6, following a gate celebration.
Operated by American’s regional partner, The Landline Company, the new route offers four daily round-trips between South Bend and O’Hare aboard a 35-seat motorcoach. Passengers clear security in South Bend and arrive directly inside O’Hare’s terminal for easy, seamless flight connections.
The motorcoach, which mirrors the amenities of a first-class regional jet – including WiFi, in-seat power, generous legroom, and plush leather seating.
