50 grams of Fentanyl seized during traffic stop in LaPorte County

A routine traffic stop on the Indiana Toll Road led to a major drug arrest after state troopers discovered 50 grams of suspected fentanyl hidden on the driver.
According to Indiana State Police, troopers pulled over a speeding vehicle in LaPorte County on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and detected the smell of marijuana coming from inside. A subsequent search of the vehicle and driver revealed the fentanyl concealed in the suspect’s pants.
The driver, identified as 25-year-old Raekwon Riley of Bolingbrook, Illinois, was taken into custody and transported to the LaPorte County Jail.
Riley faces preliminary charges of:
Dealing a Controlled Substance – Level 2 Felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Level 4 Felony
Possession of Marijuana – Class B Misdemeanor
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
