The City of South Bend is celebrating the grand opening of the Raclin Murphy Encore Center.

It’s a 20,000 square foot expansion of The Morris Performing Arts Center, with a Grand Opening Series running January 10 through February 7.

Events include a free basketweaving experience led by members of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Nation on January 10, guest speaker Gary Edwin Robinson presentations January 22 through 24, and a symposium focused on representation in the arts.

The series also features a January 24 concert with Grammy Award winner October London and artist Micki Miller. A ribbon cutting is set for February 6, followed by a community open house.
