Last year was a good one for the new playground at Silver Beach.

There was a big increase in visitor traffic at the Silver Beach County Park playground, including significant attendance during the 2025 summer season. WSJM reports that the playground welcomed about 141,000 visitors last summer, a 33% increase over 2024.

County Commissioner Julie Wuerfel reports about 67% of those visitors were from out-of-state.

Silver Beach County Park has also been honored with a Parks Facility Award, and new parking plans are in the works for 2027.
