A Brazil man is in custody following a sexual assault investigation spanning multiple Indiana counties.

28-year-old Andrew Hays was arrested yesterday by troopers from the Putnamville Post on an active warrant out of LaPorte County.

Investigators allege Hays forced himself on a female victim for sexual gratification.

Hays is currently being held in the Clay County jail on a $25,000 bond while he awaits extradition back to Northern Indiana to face felony charges.
