The Indiana Department of Transportation is planning roadway improvements along U.S. 33 in Goshen between County Road 31 and the Elkhart River Bridge.
The project will include pavement reconstruction in some areas and resurfacing in others, along with widening sections of the roadway to add travel and turn lanes.
Plans also call for new traffic signals, drainage upgrades and the addition of a multi-use path on the west side of the road. Sidewalk and curb ramp improvements are also included.
INDOT says the project is intended to improve safety and traffic flow in the area.
Construction could begin as early as 2028.
