Elkhart County Commissioners approved one request to use the Historic Goshen Courthouse lawn but delayed another.
Commissioners have approved a permit for a “No Kings Rally” organized by Goshen Youth United. The protest is planned for Saturday afternoon, March 21, and could draw around 100 people.
Meanwhile, commissioners tabled a request Mark Beer of Grace Community Churchto hold the National Day of Prayer event on May 7.
County officials say there’s a problem, becuse the event would take place during court business hours, and by then the Goshen city court is expected to be operating in the building.
The Goshen News reports Commissioners say they’ll review the ordinance before making a final decision.
