Indiana ranks 6th for number of fast food restaurants

A new study by Seating Masters has ranked the U.S. states by the number of fast food restaurants per 100,000 residents.
Indiana is in sixth with 46.37 fast food restaurants per 100,000 people. West Virginia tops the list as the nation’s fast food capital, with 49.04 restaurants per 100,000 people, followed by Kentucky (47.21) and Kansas (47.1).
Indiana ranks sixth with 46.37 fast food outlets per 100,000 residents, where the most common chains are McDonald’s, Dairy Queen, and Burger King.
The study highlights the regional differences in fast food access, with nearly double the number of fast-food outlets per capita in West Virginia compared to the lowest-ranking states like Vermont.
