National Day of Prayer gets new format

An interfaith observance for the National Day of Prayer is getting a fresh format in 2026.

The United Religious Community of St. Joseph County’s event will take place Thursday, May 7 at the Encore Center.

Doors open at 7:15 a.m., with a buffet breakfast at 7:30, followed by welcome remarks, music and prayers from multiple faith traditions.

Tickets are 40 dollars per person, 300 dollars for a table of eight, or 275 for United Religious Community of St. Joseph County members.

The program wraps just before 9:00, with optional small group discussions to follow. Details on registration, parking, shuttle service, and more are available on the URC website.
