One person has been detained following a shooting Monday night at the Laurel Woods Apartments in South Bend.

Police responded around 11:15 p.m. to the 800 block of West Laurel Woods Court on reports of shots fired.

Authorities say a female victim was found at the scene and transported to the hospital. Her condition has not been released.

South Bend Police say one person has been detained in connection with the investigation.

The department’s Violent Crimes Unit is handling the case.
