A Bremen school custodian and volunteer firefighter is facing charges involving a minor.

Authorities say Toby Manges was arrested Tuesday on allegations of sexual misconduct and sexual battery involving a 14-year-old. Investigators say some of the alleged incidents happened in Marshall County and others in St. Joseph County.

Bremen Public Schools says Manges was immediately placed on administrative leave and termination proceedings are underway.

Officials also say the allegations did not involve Bremen students or happen on school property.

Manges has also been placed on leave from the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department.
