Woman seriously injured in South Bend shooting

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that left a woman seriously injured on the city’s east side.

Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Mac Arthur Avenue at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found an adult woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

No additional information about the victim or potential suspects has been released.

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is actively investigating the incident.
