A jury trial has been delayed for a 75-year-old man charged in a decades-old Elkhart County homicide case.

Robert L. Sage and a co-defendant are accused in the 1981 killing of Mishawaka resident Donald Wasserman.

The Goshen News says investigators reopened the case after new information surfaced earlier this year.

During a court hearing Thursday, a judge approved a continuance requested by Sage’s attorney. His jury trial has been rescheduled from October 19 to November 16.
