A South Bend man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Mark Murphy Jr., 37, was sentenced Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Cristal C. Brisco. He will also serve five years of supervised release after leaving prison.
Authorities said investigators executed a search warrant at Murphy’s home and found about 439 grams of pure methamphetamine in a suitcase.
The case was investigated by the Elkhart Intelligence and Covert Enforcement Unit, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and South Bend Police.
