Elkhart County couple plead guilty to animal neglect

(Tommie Lee/MNC)
An Elkhart County couple has pleaded guilty to felony charges after authorities searched their home in April.
Laura and Thomas Duncan each admitted to all ten charges, including several counts of neglect of a dependent and cruelty to an animal.
Authorities say they removed three children, 23 dogs and two cats from the home on Roxbury Park. Another animal was found dead in a trash bag.
The Duncans are scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 23.
