Police say they found about seven kilograms of cocaine-roughly 15 pounds-in a suitcase inside a rental SUV after a pursuit, last week, that ended in Roseland.
The Drug Enforcement Administration is now assisting with the investigation.
Court documents identify the driver as Tyrone Hilley of New Jersey. He faces felony dealing and two counts of resisting law enforcement.
Police say the chase began in LaPorte County after a traffic stop for speeding and following too closely.
Authorities allege Hilley drove off when a deputy sought to search the SUV.
The pursuit reached speeds of 118 miles per hour and continued into St. Joseph County.
State police used stop sticks near mile marker 75 on the Indiana Toll Road.
Police say Hilley crashed after exiting near South Bend and Roseland, then ran from the SUV and over a barbed-wire fence.
Officers later tracked him with a drone and arrested him in Roseland.
