Indiana State Police say their participation in a three-day, 16-state enforcement operation led to 28 arrests and the seizure of more than 124 pounds of cannabis.
Operation Guardian ran October 26 through the 28th. State police say officers also seized methamphetamine, fentanyl and other substances, and filed 36 criminal charges, including 18 felonies.
The operation focused on secondary and bypass routes that authorities say can be used to avoid enforcement on major highways. Indiana officers also inspected 501 commercial vehicles, placing 85 vehicles and 51 drivers out of service for violations.
