INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The National Weather Service says a weak tornado damaged several buildings and stacked two automobiles on top of each other in Indianapolis.

The weather service says the EF-1 tornado struck the city’s southeast side Saturday night, May 31, touching down for about a minute with an estimated peak wind of 90 mph. It traveled about a third of a mile with a path 40 yards wide.

The weather service says two homes sustained significant damage to their garages, a gazebo was destroyed and a trailer was tossed into a pond. Nearby, the automobiles were stacked, a third home sustained roof damage and two trees were blown down, blocking a street.
