Disney to roll out seasonal pricing on one-day park tickets

AP) Disney’s properties in Orlando and Anaheim will roll out seasonal pricing on one-day tickets, hoping to spread out demand and visitors at the often jam-packed theme parks.

Disney spokeswoman Jacquee Wahler said Saturday the new seasonal pricing will be available on the parks’ website Sunday morning.

A fixed calendar set 8-11 months into the future will allow guests to see which days are considered “value,” ”regular” or “peak,” and people will pay more when busier times are forecast.

Disney said prices for annual passes won’t change. Multiday ticket prices will also change on Sunday, and those prices will be online starting at 6:15 a.m. EST.

The parks have been seeing a surge in visitors since the popularity of franchises such as “Frozen” and “Star Wars.”
