Indiana State Police will be looking for intoxicated drivers at a sobriety checkpoint in Elkhart County on Friday night, May 13.

The checkpoint is part of the Click It Or Ticket campaign running from May 6 to May 30.

Drivers who head into a checkpoint should have their driver’s license and vehicle registration handy, Indiana State Police said. Delays should only last about two to three minutes.

Police will also have more officers on the streets patrolling for intoxicated drivers and people not wearing their seat belts.

Drivers who see a potentially impaired driver may call 911 or the nearest Indiana State Police post to report the vehicle. The caller should have a description of the vehicle, an approximate location and the direction of travel.
