Meth, prescription drugs found during traffic stop near Cassopolis leads to woman's arrest

A 38-year-old woman was arrested after police say they found drugs on her during a traffic stop near Cassopolis, Mich., on Thursday, April 14.

The woman, who has not been identified, was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over on M-62 at Twin Lakes Road, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman admitted to police that she had warrants for arrest. When officers were searching her, they found a small plastic bag containing crystal meth and two prescription narcotics but no prescription, according to the sheriff’s office.

The woman was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a schedule V controlled substance.

The driver was not arrested.
