A 75-year-old woman in was held against her will by three people for more than three hours and robbed after a man asked her for a ride as she was leaving church in South Bend on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 31.

The woman gave the man a ride so he could avoid the rain, then he pulled a gun out and forced her to drive to a different location, according to our news partners ABC 57.

After picking up two people, the group forced her to withdraw money from her bank account at an ATM and buy them items at various stores for about three hours.

One suspect would stay in the car while the other two accompanied the woman inside the store, ABC 57 reported.

The suspects eventually let the woman go without hurting her. She walked to a nearby fast food restaurant and called police.

Two juveniles and one adult were arrested in connection to the incident at about 11 p.m. Saturday.
