South Bend City Council members have approved tax incentives that will allow some new developments to move forward.

The biggest project on the list is the hotel that will take over the former College Football Hall of Fame building.

A.J. Patel with JSK Development tells ABC 57 News the hotel will help the city go after about $40 million worth of business that the Century Center has had to pass on before because of a lack of hotel rooms in downtown South Bend.

Council members also approved a 10-year property tax abatement for the JMS Building at Main and Washington.

The developer plans to turn that office building into apartments.
