The South Bend Cubs are serving dinner on Tuesday, May 12

Members of the South Bend Cubs will trade in their bats and balls for food and drink trays on Tuesday, May 12.

Team members are taking part in an event called “Tip A Cub” at two local Applebees locations.

The goal of the event is to raise money for Memorial Children’s Hospital as they build a new home for pediatric health care for children from around the region.

The team will work the dining room, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Applebee’s at 6615 N. Main Street in Mishawaka and the Applebee’s at 1150 Ireland Road in Erskine Village.

“Our guys are really looking forward to this night,” said Joe Hart, President of the South Bend Cubs. “Some are a little nervous about waiting tables, but they know it’s all in good fun and absolutely for a good cause.“
