Trains will travel faster through corridor in Goshen

Trains along a stretch in Goshen are about to travel faster.

Starting Wednesday, April 29, trains going along the Marion Branch curve in Goshen will travel 20 mph, twice as fast as before, according to 95.3’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

This means there will be shorter wait times for drivers and pedestrians in the area, but the city also asks pedestrians and motorists to pay extra attention to railroad signals.

The Branch starts running parallel to the Chicago Line north of Goshen the curves south to travel parallel with Ninth Street, The Elkhart Truth reports.
