PAW PAW, Mich. (AP) — The state Supreme Court is holding court in a small town in southwestern Michigan.

Justices are hearing arguments Wednesday at Paw Paw High School in Van Buren County. More than 800 students from the region are expected to watch.

The case is from Saginaw County. The dispute centers on whether a police officer legally entered a home to search for a 22-year-old man. The man’s mother, Stephanie White, was convicted of resisting police and sentenced to probation.

The Supreme Court regularly travels to schools around the state. Students will get an opportunity to meet the justices and the lawyers in the case.
